States’ publications
Greetings Colleagues,
The new and improved NASCO website, National Association of State Charity Officials is live. The vision for our Resource tab, specifically the link to guidebooks and publications (Guidance — National Association of State Charity Officials) is that it become a centralized location for all of our members’ guidebooks and training materials. We have links from the great states of CA, CO, NY, OH, PA, TN, and VT.
This brief response survey is to ascertain what other states have materials so that we can add your resources to our site. The survey should take 5-10 minutes and the deadline is November 14, 2025 5p est.
Here’s the link https://forms.office.com/g/8SjhnJw8kR
These links need to be hyperlinked - research CA, VT, fix OH

Clean up boxes at the top of the page, update classes offered? Beth suggests the nasco members get this info another way and the public does not need to see this, delete the info?
Most recent at the top of the page
NASCO annual report can be found here? Where should it be posted?
Page 58 is from 2011 is that the definition of “latest”? Anything older than 3 years, contact the Archivist
Open this up to a comms member to format? Ask for them to be shared in the body of an email? How does Squarespace treat formatting? Link in grid to a pdf for each
FROM COMMS– Grid with headline and link to state’s site to read more, use a grid template ala latest news test page
Email sent when update made--After publishing a blog post, you can automatically reformat the post content into a draft of an email campaign. This is a great option for reaching followers who prefer to read your latest content in their email instead of on your site.
Recommendation that we keep 3 years of the latest news on the site, the rest is placed in archives.
Recovered email list integrated into constant contact and tagged as such
Recommend annual report stays here and survey is placed elsewhere

SquareSpace Resources
www.mandolin-seadragon-2exf.squarespace.com
https://sponge-vibraphone-xt26.squarespace.com/config/pages
For most images in Squarespace, aiming for a width between 1500 and 2500 pixels is generally recommended. Squarespace will automatically reformat large images to a maximum width of 2500 pixels. However, images added through the Style Editor (like background images) load at their original dimensions, which can cause issues if they exceed 2500 pixels on their longest edge.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
For standard images within your site, including those in galleries, blog posts, and product pages, a width of 1500 to 2500 pixels is a good target.
For banner images or background images, Squarespace recommends a width of 2500 pixels or at least 2000 pixels.
Logos should be at least 1500 pixels wide or tall.
Social media icons often require smaller sizes, with 32x32 pixels for desktop and 48x48 pixels for mobile.
For images that fill the entire width of the screen, a width of 1500 to 2500 pixels is recommended, but they will always experience some cropping.
